Lukas studied technical chemistry in Vienna, Austria. Lukas joined us for the first time in 2015, the working on sustainable hybrid materials’ synthesis and processing. In his current main projects, Lukas works on the hydrothermal synthesis of small molecules for application in biology.

Responsibilities
Danica studied Molecular Biology and Physiology in Belgrade, Serbia. She obtained her PhD in Cell biology in 2017, in University of Porto, Portugal. Danica joined our group in October 2023 as a project scientist to characterize hydrothermally synthesized cell dyes in vitro.

Responsibilities
Robert studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Trent University in Peterborough, Canada. He obtained his PhD in 2022 at the CeMM Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Science in Vienna, Austria. Robert joined us in 2022. In his main project, he develops an automated platform for the discovery and optimization of syntheses in water.

Responsibilities
Jessica studied Nanoscience at the University of Konstanz. She started her PhD in August 2022 in the group of Prof. Helmut Cölfen before joining us in January 2024 to continue with her PhD Thesis. In her project, she develops new strategies for the synthesis of multi-elemental colloidal nanocrystals with a focus on metal chalcogenides and oxides as well as their heterostructures with metals and their subsequent investigation of properties.

Nick studied Chemistry at the University of Konstanz. He started his PhD in the research group of Prof. Helmut Cölfen and joined us in January 2024 to continue his PhD thesis. In his project, he develops polymers for the stabilization and assembly of metal nanoparticles.

Yurii studied chemistry at the Donetsk National University, Ukraine, where he performed his thesis on biologically active compounds and graduated in 2018. He continued his studies at the University of Konstanz. He joined our group in June 2023 as a research assistant. In his project he works on minerals, with a special focus on X-ray crystallographic analysis.
