Research

Our group is developing and applying different techniques of ultrasensitive laser spectrocopy and microscopy. With respect to the methods we use, one focus of our work is fluorescence detection at the singel molecule level, while the second is nonlinear optical microscopy based on ultrafast laser spectroscopy.  This research is complemented by the synthesis of polymer based nanoparticles.  The group’s main applications of these methods are investigations of dynamical processes in colloidal suspensions and living biological cells. The dynamics covered range from a femtosecond to hour time scale.  Read more...
